Ryan Seacrest Will Miss Ellen DeGeneres on ‘American Idol’

Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson will be the only two founding fathers of "American Idol" left when the show returns for season 10. The host offered his sentiments to the departing Ellen DeGeneres.
"Spoke with Ellen DeGeneres tonight. I will miss her on ‘Idol,’" Ryan tweeted. "She’s one of the kindest and most talented people in Hollywood!" The heartfelt message was posted just hours following Ellen’s announcement she’d be stepping down as a judge on "Idol" after only one year on the panel.
Thursday night also brought news that Jennifer Lopez will be getting a permanent seat at the judge’s table, multiple sources confirmed to ET. Back in January, original judge Simon Cowell declared season nine as his final on the show.
