Hollywood Week Kicks off on ‘American Idol’ with Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres joins "American Idol" Tuesday night when Hollywood week starts on the search for the next singing sensation.
Tuesday night contestants will be put to the test with solo performances and group numbers as the pressure mounts on the "Idol" wannabes to make it to the Top 24, which will be revealed on Wednesday, Feb. 17. Tune in to see who impresses the judges and who buckles under the pressure.
Then on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. on FOX, the Top 12 female semi-finalists take to the "American Idol" stage for the first time to perform live for the judges and America, who will vote for the first time. They will be followed on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 9 p.m., by the Top 12 male semifinalists. Then on Thursday, Feb. 25, the four semifinalists — two boys and two girls — with the lowest number of votes will be sent home in a two-hour special "Idol" presentation.
