Charlie Sheen’s Wife ‘Did Not Recant’ 911 Call
Dec 31, 2009 Entertainment
Although it was reported that Brooke Mueller, the wife of Charlie Sheen, recanted her account of domestic abuse, her attorney tells ET the real story!
Her attorney Yale Galanter tells ET that Brooke did not recant the story she told the police on Christmas Day. However, "Brooke did minimize her story, like many wives in a similar situation do, when they realize their husband could go to jail," he adds. He says his client didn’t realize Sheen would be arrested after she called 911. He claims that Brooke "soft-pedaled" her story to a female officer hours after the 911 call — but insists she did not recant.
In new details, Galanter says he will file papers (in conjunction with Sheen’s attorney, the Associated Press reports) with the Aspen court this morning, asking the judge to allow Brooke and Charlie to resume contact with each other, "so they can work on resolving the conflicts in their marriage," he says. He called what happened on Christmas "one bad night," and added that they love each other very much.

Mueller was arrested in Miami-Dade County, FL, in 2001 for possession of cocaine. Bond was set at $5,000 for that arrest. See Mueller’s mug shot above. That charge was later dropped because drug tests conducted on Mueller proved to be negative for cocaine.
Mueller was also arrested in 1996 in Palm Beach, FL, at age 19 after allegedly crashing a rental car into a sign and failing a sobriety test. Charges were also dropped in that case.
