ET has the latest…
REESE WITHERSPOON headed south to New Orleans to volunteer at a local school, according to Us Weekly. Her trip will be featured on the April 9 "Idol Gives Back" special airing on FOX.
The Oscar winner visited a Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School where troubled kids learn about community leadership. Witherspoon, 32, is a longtime Children’s Defense Fund member and in 2006 helped open the city’s first Freedom School.

It’s official! TV veteran KATHIE LEE GIFFORD is heading back to the tube as a regular on the "Today" show. Co-host MATT LAUER made the big announcement during this morning’s broadcast. The former "Live!" co-host will make her debut on Monday, April 7 during the show’s 10 a.m. hour.
Gifford, 54, left "Live!" in 2000 after co-hosting the popular morning talker alongside REGIS PHILBIN for 15 years.

DOLLY PARTON gives ET a sneak peek at the world premiere of the stage version of her 1980 hit movie, ‘Nine to Five," which will debut at the Ahmanson Theater in Los Angeles this fall
"This little thing started 27 years ago and it became so popular on TV and everywhere you looked," the "Backwoods Barbie" singer tells ET’s special correspondent and "Dancing with the Stars" competitor JULIANNE HOUGH. "One day they were talking about it and they said to me, ‘Would you like to write the music? We are going to do a play.’ I said, ‘After all this time?’ You never know when something gets started what it is going to do."
The ‘Nine to Five’ musical will star MEGAN HILTY in the role of Doralee Rhodes made famous by Dolly, ALLISON JANNEY is taking over from LILY TOMLIN as Violet Newstead, JANE FONDA’s Judy Bernly will now be played by STEPHANIE J. BLOCK and the role of Franklin Hart Jr. (DABNEY COLEMAN in the movie) has been awarded to MARC KUDISCH.

The actress returns to “CSI: Miami” as Horatio Caine’s mysterious ex and hosts “Step It Up and Dance.”
"CSI: Miami" returns Monday night with part one of a two-part brand-new episode when Julia (ELIZABETH BERKLEY), the woman from from Horatio Caine’s (DAVID CARUSO) past — and the mother of his recently discovered son Kyle (EVAN ELLINGSON) — has him arrested for murder.
The two were reunited when Julia came under investigation for the murder of her billionaire husband in an episode before the writers strike. This is her second appearance on the hit CBS series, airing Monday nights at 10 p.m.
"David is so passionate about his work. I love that," she tells ET. "[When that happens], you can go places you didn’t think you could."
